HVAC System Shutdown & IT Systems During Eid Break

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Facilities shared that there will be an extended A/C outage in the building during the Eid break to facilitate some construction work in lecture hall 2163. To protect our IT systems from any potential damage from losing A/C in the building, we are planning to switch off:

• The AV systems in Classrooms, Lecture Halls, Clusters, and Conference rooms
• The computers in Clusters, Library, and other open areas
• The printers in open areas

We are planning to power down the IT systems now and will switch them on Thursday morning (September 15). All other services including email and Virtual.Qatar will remain operational.
