Dear faculty and staff,

We are delighted to announce a new IT service called FileCloud. FileCloud is a way to access your network drives files from anywhere whether you are online or offline. FileCloud is supported on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android. You can use FileCloud while online to access and work with your Network Drives (U Drive and S Drive) files without the need to VPN. You can also synchronize the U Drive files to your laptop or mobile so that you can access these files when you are offline. Please note that FileCloud enhances the capabilities of the Network Drives and the data is still stored on the U and S drives.

With FileCloud, the Network Drives are the one place for you to store your work-related data and access it from anywhere. You can learn more about FileCloud at

We will roll out FileCloud in stages over the coming days and weeks. Shadi Afaneh will contact you to setup a time to enable the service for you and set up your laptop and mobile device to use FileCloud.

Please join me in thanking Shadi Afaneh for almost 2 years of work to research and evaluate various products to come up with a solution suitable for our needs. The technology has been changing constantly and products appropriate for organizational use are finally becoming sufficiently mature for deployment.
