IT provides multi platform printing solution that enables users to print from any device natively. You can print using your personal machines and release the job from any PaperCut enabled printer.
NOTE:
Students– All Windows computers in the University are already configured to make the Find-Me-Students printer queue as your default printer.
Faculty and Staff– All Windows computers in the University are already configured to make the Find-Me-Anywhere printer queue as your default printer.
Following steps are for your personal machine.
- Go to the Start menu and then click on ‘Devices and Printers’
- Click on ‘Add a printer’
- Click on ‘The printer that I want isn’t listed’
- Students: Enter https://papercut.qatar.cmu.edu/printers/Find-Me-Students/.printer in the ‘Select a shared printer by name’ box and then click on ‘Next’
- Faculty and Staff: Enter https://papercut.qatar.cmu.edu/printers/Find-Me-Anywhere/.printer in the ‘Select a shared printer by name’ box and then click on ‘Next’
- You will need to authenticate now with your username and password. Enter your Username and Password on this screen
- On the next windows, select the driver. The driver for the printer is HP Universal Printing PS
- Click on ‘Next’ and then on ‘Finish’
The printer is added to your computer and now you can print and release the job from any PaperCut enabled printer.
