The project will involve growing cells in 3D cultures and optimizing techniques for flow cytometry and immunofluorescence staining, in addition to performing migration assays with dye tracers. These assays will be optimized by the faculty alone in the fall semester in anticipation/ preparation for students in my lab currently interested in working on their Honor thesis for the spring semester.
All work will be based on cell culture, Flow cytometry, and microscopy.

Our department had created a shared research activity planner that was et up by IT to avoid crowding and overlapping in lab spaces.

2.G.1.b If you intend to use pre-defined rotations or shifts, attach (at end) or provide below an example schedule

see attached example from a shared calendar indicated people rotations and different log in times into shared lab spaces
The number of individuals permitted per room will be placed on the front door. Occupancy numbers as determined by Facilities are as follows: Lab 3025: 9 persons, Lab 3027: 4 persons. Entry will not occur if the rooms are at capacity.

3 Ramp-down and temporary suspension of work plans

Ongoing cells will be frozen and stored at -80 freezers. any ongoing experiment will be stopped and cells killed by bleach. Ramp down time < 24 hours for all of these activities. See additional information in the uploaded document in 6b.
